HykeCal

Getting started

HykeCal is a self-hosted, single-owner scheduling tool. There is exactly one owner — you — who manages event types and availability from a password-protected dashboard. Anyone else, from any project in any language, can link to a hosted booking page or call a plain HTTP API to read availability and create bookings. No SDK, no account system for visitors.

Why single-owner

There is exactly one owner. That shapes several decisions: no multi-tenant concept, no second identity provider for one person to log into, and a settings table that's a singleton row rather than one row per account. If this ever needs to serve more than one owner, that's a real redesign, not a config flag.

The two credentials

A password logs you into the dashboard at /login, setting a signed session cookie. A separate API key (Authorization: Bearer <key>) unlocks the same admin actions for scripts and other projects calling in directly. Both fail closed — unset either and that credential can never succeed.
